Court of Master Sommeliers
Introductory & Certified Course
The Court of Master Sommeliers was established to encourage quality standards for beverage service in hotels and restaurants. The first Master Sommelier examination was held in London, in the United Kingdom in 1969.
By 1977 the Court Of Master Sommeliers was established and has since become the premier examining body for Sommeliers worldwide.

Bookings can now be taken for the CMS Introductory Course, which will take place between 6th and 8th July 2025 at Zabeel House by Jumeirah, The Greens, Dubai, 8am-6pm. Candidates that successfully complete the course will have the option to book a place for the Certified Sommelier exam which immediately follows.

Bookings are secured on a first paid, first served basis.
*Please note that the fee does not include the course book Sales and Service for the
Wine Professional, which must be purchased separately from the CMS Europe website.
